Chris Wilson leads Bull, Housser and Tupper’s intellectual property litigation practice. Prior to entering the field of law, Chris worked as a software programmer and software designer. He has a keen interest in social media and the law. He has acted as lead counsel in trade-mark, patent, trade secrets and copyright litigation in the Federal and British Columbia trial and appellate courts.  He represents clients in intellectual property enforcement and disputes, including copyright and trade-mark enforcement actions, patent infringement and ownership disputes, parallel imports (grey marketing), misleading advertising, Internet issues such as domain names, meta tags and keyword advertising, trade-mark opposition appeals, and expungement actions.

 

Ryan Berger is a commercial litigator who works with public and private sector organizations develop effective and integrated privacy compliance. This includes policies and procedures, systems and security, information sharing agreements, and access issues. He has also assisted various organizations respond to inquiries by the federal and British Columbia privacy commissioners. He advises employers in a wide range of employment and dismissal cases, as well as harassment and human rights complaints. He is the firm’s Privacy Officer and Chair of the Privacy Committee.

 

Herb Isherwood is a senior labour and employment lawyer with extensive experience in labour relations strategy, grievance arbitration, employment standards, wrongful dismissal and human rights. He is a former Adjunct Professor, Labour Law, Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia. He is a trusted advisor to many employers in the public and private sectors in all major areas of the economy including communication, finance, transportation, warehousing, local governments, hospitality, health care, high tech, professional services, entertainment, retail, resource and manufacturing.
